ATHF At Nancy's House

I don't get around the local internets enough to keep an eye on all of the comings and goings. Of note is the recent time constraint of the contributors over on DWA (no matter how much Foraker wants to help) and the increase of writers at Delaware Liberal with cassandra m, Merit-Bound Alley with Nemski and Delaware Libertarian with Brian making insightful new(ish) team members there.

Absorbing amost everyone is the 'Obama has a Preacher' controversy, leaving us either in distress or not (Hube, Duffy), as the case may be. But everyone seemed to like his Philly speech (Kavips, Mahaffie, Nemski).

There was some real drama this week, stemming from Sussex, with Gerald Hocker's really stepping in it. Geek took charge and spit out the good Rep's contradictions, reminding us of what Maria Evans had been taking about. Some of the comments remind us of what Hocker HAD been talking about. Can you say Flip-Flop?

Tommywonk kept on track with several posts on what people are paying attention to or not in Dover. Delaware Politics kept up the financials pace between Dave and David. Joker Ryan has a decent spin on how to provide health care for everyone without 'socialism' entering the equation and Shirley kicks out a primer for Rosie the Riveter.

China's brutal suppression of the Tibetan uprising puts them in a slightly different spot than the Israeli's stomping of the Palestinians or our cruel occupation of Iraq since the Chinese are hosting the Olympics. Maria nailed it and donviti gives a visual.

Education rounds out the Horn with laments from Kilroy and Steve Newton, who takes a turn live blogging the DEM gubernatorial debate with his daughter. Randy Nelson and Walt Lydic put forth a grand idea for our southern population's need for higher learning center.

Late addition: RSmitty's supreme powers of deduction came into play as Mike observes his Prius turning 99,999 just south of the St. Jones River.

(blushes, kicks dirt)

Thanks! It was fun. I guess I have to hound someone down for next week if no one volunteers.

Thank god for Maria Evans over at GMD. She's at least capable of intelligent thought instead of spitting out right-wing rhetoric all day like Larry, Curley and Mo. Real odd that blog from Hocker is closed from commenting. Why would they do that?

Nice job, Nancy. Mahaffie, you up for the next one?

I'd volunteer, but I'm about to turn off the internet, get on a plane, and go somewhere with beaches and pools and chairs to nap in. I'll be disconnected for the next full week.

Good job, Nan!

So, seriously, who's got it next?

That news just in, Mat. Brian from Delaware Libertarian has volunteered. I'll put up a link.
